International Women’s Day (IWD) is more than just a celebration—it’s a call to action. Annually on March 8, millions worldwide come together to honor the achievements of women and advocate for the acceleration of gender equality. This day serves as a powerful reminder that while progress has been made, the work is far from done.
This year’s theme, #AccelerateAction, highlights the need for swift and decisive steps to close the gender gap. At the current rate of progress, full gender parity won’t be reached until 2158, roughly five generations from now, according to the World Economic Forum. By recognizing and amplifying strategies, resources, and initiatives that accelerate women’s advancement, we can make lasting progress toward a more equitable future.
At cred, we’re proud to amplify the voices of incredible women whose stories, accomplishments, and contributions inspire us and their audiences to drive positive change.

How we #AccelerateAction:
Since 2015, we’ve been committed to closing the equity gap by ensuring every event we support and our speaker roster includes 50% women and 50% BIPOC representation. In 2022, we furthered this commitment by launching our pro-bono program, credVoices, to empower leaders from historically marginalized communities with the tools to build thought leadership and grow their platforms.
Additionally, our credService team organizes opportunities to support women-focused organizations such as the Women’s Daytime Drop-in Center (read our recap here) and Girls Love Mail.
Continuing the education:
Around the world, numerous conferences provide women platforms for empowerment, leadership development, networking, and advocating for gender equality across industries. Check out these women-focused conferences happening in 2025.
