Every year on March 8, the global community comes together to celebrate International Women’s Day (IWD) to commemorate the achievements of women around the world and rally for progress toward women’s equality.
This year’s theme calls us to #InspireInclusion, reminding us of the importance of diverse perspectives and bringing light to the unique challenges women from marginalized communities face on the road toward equality. Through education and awareness, championing representation, and prioritizing diversity in leadership, we can promote inclusion and help support women from historically underrepresented groups to reach their full potential. For true gender equality to be achieved, it’s essential we create a world where all women are empowered, valued, and included.
While there is still undoubtedly a lot of progress to be made, this day gives us a moment to recognize the incredible contributions of women throughout history. cred is especially proud to celebrate the women who inspire us through their diverse stories, achievements, and leadership to continue advocating for real gender equality.

Bringing Inclusion to the Stage.
At cred, we’ve worked to amplify and elevate historically underrepresented voices since our founding in 2015 by prioritizing gender and racial diversity. Over the past few years, we’ve committed to working toward the goal of having at least 50% women and 50% BIPOC representation across both our client roster and the events we work with.
In 2023, we worked with well over 100 speakers on strategic event & podcast placements, of those approximately 45% were women, and 40% BIPOC. Additionally, our events management team supported 131 global events in 2023, with speaker representation of approximately 40% BIPOC and 40% women. As cred continues to grow, we’re finding new ways to advocate for equity and close the gap. Through our pro-bono program, credVoices, cred supports leaders from marginalized communities by providing them with the tools to confidently pursue thought leadership and expand their platforms.
Celebrating Women at Work
In addition to the ongoing work to bring more inclusion to the stage, our team will also focus on championing change by raising donations for Catalyst, which for over 60 years has focused on accelerating progress for women in the workplace.
To kick off the month, our team attended Catalyst’s recent webinar bringing together a powerful group of women for an important discussion about lifting up women, inclusion, and this journey we are all on together.
cred is proud to celebrate the women who have inspired us through their stories and contributions now and in the many years to come.
