Our event management team worked with long-time client SaaStr to plan and execute this conference, which was not only our first international event of 2022, but also since the pandemic!
Just over 18 months ago, in March 2020—only three days before the start of the event—SaaStr Annual was canceled in lieu of the public health regulations emerging as the COVID-19 pandemic began.
Last week, from Monday, September 27 through Wednesday, September 29, the largest SaaS community event in the world finally came back to fruition—and it was well worth the wait.
In the now-standard in-person to virtual event pivot, SaaStr Annual at Home packed all the founder and VC-led content and networking that attendees have come to know and love from SaaStr into three full days of live, virtual content.

Thirty-two of the most innovative SaaS leaders took the virtual stage at the global event SaaStr Enterprise last week on July 29. Our event management team has been collaborating with the SaaStr crew behind the scenes on speaker management and content curation. Lucky for us, this means we scored front row seats to all of the insightful content from the CEOs of Coupa, Gainsight, Algolia, PagerDuty, Box, Front, and more.

Last week, more than 12,500 founders, entrepreneurs, senior executives, and VCs from the SaaS community gathered in downtown San Jose for the fifth iteration of SaaStr Annual 2019—the premiere SaaS conference in the Bay Area drawing in attendees from around the world. This was the first year the conference took place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center and the outcome showed the event is growing more than ever.
Last week the cred team had the opportunity to attend one of our collective favorite conferences: SaaStr Annual 2018. As one of the top conferences in SaaS globally (we ranked it in our Top 10 of 2017 in case you missed it), we loved being able to see our clients in action. SaaStr Annual is a massive convention, bringing together people across the spectrum in software as a service from start-ups, to investors, to unicorns such as Hubspot, Basecamp, and Medallia.
We were proud to have a solid line-up of cred clients present to share their insights on investing, building companies, and using SaaS. Some of our favorites included our client Joanne Chen of Foundation Capital, who moderated an invigorating talk to an absolutely packed room around “How do SaaS Companies Build Differentiated Assets in this New World of AI.” We also loved learning from our very own Mike McDerment, CEO of Freshbooks, who discussed his team’s “Unusual Approach to Replatforming” in a talk called “Split Testing Companies.”
An attendee favorite of SaaStr was the opportunity to set up “braindates.” Start-ups could meet with VCs or other companies excited about SaaS. It was an exuberant environment for idea-sharing. One of our personal favorite activities was the Yappy Hour on the first two nights. Attendees could unwind and play with puppies courtesy of Family Dog Rescue.
