Earlier this month, The Next Web Conference (TNW) hosted their annual event in Amsterdam. The conference brought together international tech executives, investors, scale-ups, and startups for two days full of thought-provoking sessions (and a ferris wheel)!
2022 marked the return of TNW’s in-person event after hosting hybrid and virtual events for the past two years due to COVID-19. This year’s event gathered 10,000 people and featured 8 different stages covering topics, including marketing, founders/funding, future tech, sustainability, AI, next-gen mobility, product, and finance.
On these stages were speakers like Edward Snowden (Whistleblower & Cybersecurity Expert), Maxine Williams (Chief Diversity Officer, Meta), Ruurd Neurink (Head of Marketing & Communications, Porsche), Liron Markus (VP Product, Fiverr), and Mursal Hedayat (Founder & CEO, Chatterbox) with a holographic appearance from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
We share some on-stage highlights from leaders discussing what lies ahead across industries.
Tracy Benson, Co-Founder & CEO at Obsesh gave a solo talk on how to navigate Silicon Valley as a queer person. Read more about her session here.
Erik Huberman, Founder & CEO at Hawke Media joined a fireside chat on digitizing a family legacy with Royal Asscher Diamond Company.
Oscar Höglund, Founder & CEO at Epidemic Sound gave a solo talk on making the music industry creator-centric with tech
Francois Kress, Co-Founder & CEO at Feelmore Labs spoke on fireside chat discussing mental health for everyone. Read more about his session here
Aaron Cohen, Co-Founder & Chairman at Therma was on a panel discussing cooling our planet with speed, scale, and equity. See more TNW coverage here.
Another one of our favorite sessions was Priscilla Chomba-Kinywa’s (CTO, Greenpeace International) session on how to drive inclusive technology change that translates to all communities your product serves. Check out a sneak peek here.
We’re excited to see what TNW 2023 brings—happening June 15 & 16 next year!
