Five years is a huge milestone for many life events, and yesterday cred turned 5 years old (on 5/5/20, our golden birthday!).
Five years in and, just as our CEO Caitlin Bartley shared on our last birthday, as we grow, our why remains the same: We believe that bringing knowledgeable, passionate speakers to engaged audiences builds awareness and excitement for you and your brand.
Since 5 years is such an important milestone, we wanted to stop and reflect on some of the biggest moments and accomplishments from our first half-decade.
5 milestones (and counting!) from cred’s first 5 years:
We designed and moved into the first office of our own—we love credHQ (but been in 8 others in our time!).
We’ve helped connect clients to more than 600 thought-leadership events around the world.
cred grew from 1 to a team of 24 full-time rockstars.
Our team built a database of more than 16,000 conferences and events.
We’ve worked with some of the world’s leading brands and most notable companies.
Of course, a celebration was also in order—with a virtual twist. Just like we’ve pivoted our business to expand our virtual offerings and transition into the already growing digital event space, we had fun coming up with the following ways to celebrate our own virtual birthday party:
Invites: Every noteworthy event starts with a guest list and of course, an invitation. This year we shared the invite to our 5th birthday party via email with our whole staff.
Food: We all know the main reason to attend any party is for the food, so we couldn’t leave that out. Ahead of the party, we shared recipes for tacos and margaritas so the team could enjoy a meal together in spirit and cheers to 5 years as a company.
Music: The next essential part of any party is the music. And yes, we’ve got that covered too. We created a Spotify playlist complete with songs we usually have on repeat in the office to help bring us back to our favorite workspace, credHQ.
Games: Any good party host provides games and activities to entertain their guests in case the conversation lulls. Our virtual credBirthday was no exception. Our social team banned together to create a cred-themed bingo game as well as an energetic game of “How Well Do You Know Your Fellow Credians?”.
Toast: Last, but not least, it’s essential to have a celebratory group toast at your celebration. We had the pleasure of hearing a heartfelt toast by our trusted leader and CEO, Caitlin. She shared memorable moments and highlights from the past 5 years that reminded us all how much we’ve grown in a short amount of time, and how we’re becoming the most recognized company for speaker strategy and virtual event thought leadership. Cheers to 5 years!
