From March 25-28, we hosted our annual Wellness Week with an exciting itinerary featuring asynchronous activities, journal prompts, and some special surprises for the cred team. Hosted by cred’s Culture Club, our internal team that curates events to enrich cred’s work culture, Wellness Week is an annual tradition that recognizes the importance of wellness and celebrates how cred has made it a priority.
Every morning a new journal prompt around self-care or wellness was shared for the team to reflect on. Individuals were welcomed to share any thoughts in Slack and engage in meaningful conversation about what the prompt brought up for them. Prompts included questions such as: “What energy are you inviting into your day?”; “What’s your self-care mantra?”; and “What is a wellness practice you can commit to?”
In addition to hosting daily prompts and activities, cred did its first collaboration with Mexican Primrose Botanicals, a small-batch skincare line rooted in tradition & the healing essence of plants owned by our very own coordinator Leila Rodriguez. Each team member received a Citronella Lotion bar and Tranquility Tea kit featuring a loose leaf tea blend of mint, lemon balm, and mimosa flower. We are happy to support a fellow credian and her incredible small business that provided our team with self-care products to help us relax and reset.
Here are all the details from our week:
Monday - cred Step Challenge
To start the week, we brought back the crowd favorite cred Step Challenge. Team members were encouraged to get outside and take a self-guided walk to compete in our step challenge and start the week off strong. It was awesome to see pictures from across the country of credian’s out enjoying their local scenery.
Tuesday - Session with Brooke Daniels, CEO & Founder, Holistic Hustler // Director, Salesforce Ventures
Brooke Daniels, a leader in the wellness space, joined our team for a wellness workshop on Tuesday. Founder of Holistic Hustler, Brooke coaches executives how to maintain high performance through wellness and helps individuals reach sustained success without sacrificing health, relationships, and happiness.
Brooke emphasized the importance of wellness in the work space and how it allows us to show up as the best version of ourselves. We talked about everything from burnout, to actionable steps to recognizing when you are at a breaking point, how to prioritize to-do’s, and the importance of giving yourself grace.
Brooke started off the session with a breathing exercise to help the team reset. She had us rub our palm together and cover our eyes to help us ground into our body. This mini meditation session was followed by an AMA where Brooke shared more about her background and story. The team asked about well-being practices she loves, misconceptions people have about the industry, and more. She shared that her claim to success was “Doing many things with balance” and the importance of having gratitude practice.
Wednesday - Yoga/Meditation
The team came together to participate in a spicy yoga/pilates flow led by team member Isabel Zarrow. We started with a grounding meditation, some gentle stretching and then got into the yoga flow portion of the practice. After warming up, we did a team pilates workout and heated things up with a few planks. It was so nice to move our bodies and get the blood flowing during the work day. Some movement is better than no movement and a little bit can go a really long way.
Thursday - Wellness Meditation Activity
After our weekly team Huddle, the team participated in a team-wide guided meditation. It was a great way to come together and close out the week.
Friday - Wellness Day Off!
cred finished Wellness Week with a company-wide day off from work where team members were encouraged to take time for themselves and focus on self-care.
