To start things off, we'd like to say thank you to those of you who made 2022 everything it was. Our team believes in one another and the impact of thought leadership through speaking and events, but it’s an even more incredible feeling knowing our clients also value the work we do and believe in us too.
As we close out another year, we want to take a step back and look at everything we accomplished. While it’s impossible to capture it all in one post, a few highlights stand out:
We put in hard work, and the numbers show it:
Our events team managed 61 events—everything from intimate client dinners to large-scale events like SaaStr Annual (read our recap here). This is 20% more than last year, a great sign for the resilience and importance of events (and the hard work of our team!).
Our speaker team secured 760 speaking opportunities, including virtual events, webinars, and podcast opportunities—more than two for each working day of the year.
We went global—for work and for fun:
We managed events and secured speakers all over the world. Our events team was on-site in locations including Barcelona (SaaStr Europa) and Helsinki (Slush), and we helped speakers take the stage at events in more than 15 countries.
Our team was also busy traveling. As cred is spread across the country, we want to prioritize coming together as a team—and what better way than to attend an event together? We traveled to Vancouver, Canada, and while we were there, we volunteered at Traction—we recapped the trip on the blog—and also made plenty of time for team dinners, sightseeing, and spending time together in person.
We launched new programs and projects we’re proud of:
We laid the groundwork for our pro-bono program, credVoices, which will allow us to partner with and amplify underrepresented voices. We’re excited to bring this to life in 2023—stay tuned for more. (Until then, take a look at our recent post on building a diverse speaker lineup.)
We launched a new series on our blog, Event 101, which highlights the basics every event planner should know.
We piloted new thought leadership services, including: an awards program, website and social audits, and newsletter content. Our team has enjoyed flexing new and different skills, and finding creative ways to work with clients.
We stayed focused on our people:
We came together to connect and recharge, gathering the whole team for a company offsite—this is a valuable time for us to bring teams together to build a vision for their goals and growth. So valuable that we wrote a whole blog about the value of offsites.
We recognized the need for time away from work, and celebrated a big milestone: this year, the first employees began taking their month-long sabbaticals (a perk all cred employees receive at their 5-year anniversary), and used the time to travel, rest, and recharge.
We’re so thankful for all of our colleagues and clients that made this year what it was—we look forward to seeing you all in 2023!
