Tamara Steffens, Managing Director
Tamara is a seasoned investor, operator, and entrepreneur with more than 20 years of experience in Silicon Valley at both early-stage consumer and enterprise startups, including organizations like Software.com, Boingo (both had IPOs), Path (acquired by KakaoTalk), Acompli (acquired by Microsoft), Fusion One (acquired by Synchronoss), and Color (acquired by Apple). She currently leads the global investing team at Thomson Reuters Ventures. She holds board seats on four of the 15 investments the fund has made thus far, and sits on the board for the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE) under the Secretary of Commerce. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters, she led investing and VC partnerships for M12, Microsoft’s venture fund.
Joe Dormani, Partner
Joe has held a variety of strategy, finance, and product roles over his 15-year career. He has led M&A deals valued in the hundreds of millions, driven strategy for multibillion dollar organizations, and helped scale high growth software products. As an investor Joe specializes in machine learning, automation, blockchain and enterprise SaaS startups. Previously, he led corporate strategy for Thomson Reuters Legal Tech business. Joe is also active in the New York tech scene where he works with several incubators and early-stage startups as an advisor. He started his career at a data tech startup where he discovered his passion for the world of venture capital.
