Checkr speakers we’ve represented.
Daniel Yanisse, Co-Founder & CEO
The son of Syrian and Romanian immigrants, Daniel saw his parents work twice as hard for the same opportunities and recognized early in his career that there is an inherent bias in the DNA of the workforce. This inspired Daniel to build Checkr—to create a more even playing field for all by helping businesses reduce bias and establish fair chance hiring practices. Before founding Checkr, Daniel worked on Mars rover prototypes at NASA and in engineering roles at various startups.
Lindsey Scrase, COO
With nearly 20 years of leadership experience across operations, sales, growth, account management, business development and strategy, Lindsey has a deep understanding of how to scale product-led growth organizations through a customer-centric, data-driven approach. Lindsey served as Checkr’s Chief Revenue Officer, and previously spent the last 10 years at Google Cloud, where she played an instrumental role in growing the business to over 7 million paying Google Workspace customers and scaling the Google for Startups Cloud Program.
Naeem Ishaq, CFO
A strategically minded executive with 20 years of extensive financial and operational experience, Naeem has successfully scaled disruptive growth businesses from startup stage to global reach, including being one of the first 5% of employees at Square and Salesforce and leading Square (NYSE: SQ) through its IPO. He has raised over a billion dollars in capital and has participated in more than 40 merger and acquisition transactions.
Ken Oliver, VP Checkr.org & Executive Director, the Checkr Foundation
Ken’s passion for social justice and the power of transformation have led him to become a sought-after leader and speaker on issues such as criminal justice reform, DEI, the future of work and personal leadership development. In 2021, he led an effort to secure a historic $28.5M investment from the State of California to develop the first residential and tech-centered workforce development program for formerly incarcerated people in the US. After having spent 24 years himself in the labyrinth of California’s criminal justice system, Ken emerged to become a certified paralegal and policy director for a public interest law firm.
