Event Spotlight: Climate Week NYC
Here at cred, we followed along closely last week as global leaders in sustainability gathered at Climate Week NYC– an annual event held in conjunction with the United Nations General Assembly– to discuss the actions needed to protect our planet. The week-long celebration of climate action fosters dialogue on pressing environmental issues, showcasing groundbreaking initiatives and strategies aimed at combating climate change.
From panel discussions and workshops to exhibitions and networking events, Climate Week NYC unites diverse stakeholders– including government officials, corporations, startups, investors, NGOs, and grassroots organizations committed to advancing sustainability efforts globally.

The Hub Live
Serving as the main Climate Week NYC programming, The Hub Live brought global leaders together to collaborate and delve deep into the action and innovation that are needed to speed up climate action and ignite progress within the mainstream of business and government. Throughout their programming, speakers worked to convince hesitant companies and governments to start taking action and showing what we can achieve for our planet.
REGEN House
cred speaker: Ben Mand, CEO of Guayakí Yerba Mate
REGEN HOUSE is a curated space where brand leaders, farmers and indigenous peoples gathered for disruptive dialogue on regenerative practices within the food industry.
Ben Mand spoke about Guayakí’s regenerative business model from seed to shelf, and challenged retailers to step up in the way they run their categories by choosing brands that make a positive impact, finding ways to feature/educate these types of brands across categories, and taking a longer-term position on performance.
Techonomy Climate

With a focus on “Driving Sustainable Innovation,” this event brought leaders, innovators, and influencers together from diverse sectors to explore and amplify sustainable strategies around advancing green technologies and sustainable industry practices.
Ben Mand spoke to the responsibility manufacturers and farmers have to improve food beyond sustainability, sharing how Guayakí approaches this responsibility and what "cleaning up products" means in practice.
Web Summit x COLLINS

Bringing together climate VCs, innovative founders, and ecosystem leaders, this session explored compelling narratives to inspire action and drive real transformation in the fight against climate change.
Manik Suri spoke on building a resilient future with effective storytelling, specifically diving into transforming complex data into actionable insights for stakeholders.
The Economist Climate Week Hub
Economist Impact hosted multiple sessions on green finance, sustainable cities, sustainability in the food industry, biodiversity protection and the impact of climate change on human health. Each focused on the challenges, solutions, and opportunities to drive meaningful impact.
The New York Times Climate Forward
Hosting a day of live journalism, dedicated to understanding our current climate condition, NYT gathered world leaders, activists, innovators, and scientists to take part in frank discussions about the political, policy, and human effects of our rapidly warming world.
Axios House
Featuring top domestic and global thought leaders, Axios hosted three days of newsworthy conversations with those who are shaping the world’s agenda and influencing climate action. Sessions included a live viewing of President Biden's United Nations address, and a one-on-one conversation with Malala Yousafzai.
Food Tank
Spanning all of Climate Week, Food Tank hosted a series of panels covering a range of topics including: Climate Resilience through Agriculture, Building Healthy Soils, Reducing Food Waste, Protecting Pollinators from Pesticides, and Building the Future of the Food System.
Forbes Sustainability Leaders Summit
Forbes gathered leaders from the business world, with luminaries from the public sector and beyond, who are catalyzing the visions for a sustainable tomorrow with audacious action the world needs. Believing that a coordinated effort is ultimately what will drive and maintain meaningful impact, sessions featured changemakers who are resolving to move faster, aim higher, and implement solutions more boldly than ever before.
Sustainability LIVE at Climate Week NYC
Featuring a full dissection of the boardroom, this event centered around sustainability, brand, and business strategies to raise awareness of long-term climate change objectives. Sessions focused on formulating sustainability plans, harnessing the power of our operations and supply chains, influencing our brands and customer behavior, and using technology, data, and AI for a better tomorrow.
Climate Capital Summit
Gathering the climate industry's top capital allocators, executives, innovators, and policymakers, this event provided a forum for climate's leading decision-makers to gather and discuss climate trends, from software to real asset infrastructure, from private markets to public markets.
FT Sessions at Climate Week NYC
With discussions complimenting Climate Week main programming, sessions featured sustainability leaders diving into: The Role of Business and Investors in Protecting Natural Capital, Decarbonization Investments: Implementing Strategies to Drive Sustainable Growth, Navigating the Energy Transition: Balancing Urgency and Economic Realities, and Effectively Deploying Sustainable Finance for a Just Transition.
